New Hampshire young women feel the Bern in yuuuge numbers

The New Hampshire poll is basically pornography if you like Bernie and have been waiting (and working) for year-of polling to replace the garbage that is year-before polling.

The crosstabs have even better news: Bernie wins among nearly every group. Men like him best, women like him best, Democrats like him best, independents like him best.

But young women — those ages 18 to 49— feel the Bern more than any group cares for anyone else. Young men, old men, young women, old women, poor, middle income, rich, whatever level of college, whatever region of the state: Nobody goes for anyone quite so consistently.

Bernie’s net favorability (favorable-unfavorable=net favorable) with young New Hampshire women is 81 percent.

Nobody is better with anyone anywhere.

The next-highest is his 78 percent net favorability with poor people. The closest gross favorability — favorable without subtracting the unfavorable — is Pete’s 74 percent in the Rockingham area.

Bernie’s at 74 percent gross favorability statewide.

So young women really like Bernie. They’re yuuuge fans of his. Now, what do they want him to talk about?

48 percent want to hear about Medicare for All.

He’s been talking about it for decades.

46 percent want to hear about the climate crisis.

Same.

25 percent want to hear about education.

Tuition-free college, anyone? Canceling student debt? Increasing funding for public education? Making sure teachers don’t have to live in their cars?

22 percent want to hear about social justice.

Like when he got arrested fighting for it.

“Oh, but those are just young voters. They — ”

represent the state:

48 percent of New Hampshire voters polled want to hear about Medicare for All. The figure is at 53 percent in Rockingham.

34 percent of New Hampshire voters polled want to hear about the climate crisis. (Rockingham leads the way with 39 percent.)

16 percent: education.

11 percent: social justice.

So those relatively young women are like most of the rest of New Hampshire.

Oh, and one other thing:

Those young New Hampshire women HATE Trump.

He’s at a -90 with them.

He’s horribly negative with everyone in this poll, but -90 is almost as poorly as anyone does: People with advanced degrees put him at -90, women ages 50 or older have him at -91, and central/south New Hampshire residents put him at -92.

It’s one poll, and it’s one group (71 women), and it’s one state, but those are some pretty numbers we’re getting for our campaign.

Good thing happens when you care about people for decades.
